National Service
In Oregon, more than 10,000 people participate in national service each year through 76 national service projects and programs. This year, the Corporation for National and Community Service will commit more than $10,900,000 to support the national service initiatives in Oregon.
National service refers to the Corporation's National Service programs: Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, Learn and Serve America, and other programs and initiatives. Participants in these programs address community needs such as education, the environment, public safety and disaster relief.
