Older Adult Volunteer Rate: Between 2006 and 2008, the average national volunteer rate was 26.4% per year. During the same timeframe, average Older Adult volunteer rates for large cities ranged from 9.6% to 39.7%. Rankings are based on a three-year moving average. Raleigh, NC was not included in the Older Adult Volunteer Rate rankings due to sample size issues.
