Older Adult Volunteer Rate: Between 2007 and 2009, the average national volunteer rate was 23.7% per year. During the same timeframe, average Older Adult volunteer rates for large cities ranged from 9.5% to 38.5%. Rankings are based on a three-year moving average. Raleigh, NC was not included in the Older Adult Volunteer Rate rankings due to sample size issues.
